I decided to try and do a portrait of our
6"x9"Maine Coon kitten Honey in scraperboard.
This is my second scraperboard portrait, I wanted to try one with a little bit more detail and Honey's lovely black and white coat seemed perfect for the job !
I got half way through the portrait and showed my mum, she really liked it and asked if she could have it which I thought was awesome :)

I'm going to go to the framers tomorrow with this and the Rory Gallagher portrait for my dad, I'm thinking gold frames for both as they are going to be hung in the hallway.
Hey again everyone :)
Sorry I havent been blogging as much as I should I have been quite busy with commissions and I recently started my apprenticeship in tattooing/piercing so it's been taking up most of my time, not that I'm complaining I absolutely LOVE it !
I promise I shall blog more !
I done this portrait of a rat on scraperboard last night (first scraperboard/rat I've done is a while). I really enjoyed trying to figure out how to work the light sources with this style. I put it up on my facebook last night and was really surprised to get a message from a wonderful artist named Denise Laurent looking to buy it ! Instead of buying it we decided that we would trade, so I am getting a beautiful print of my favourite painting by her, it's called "in the pink"
Can't wait to get my print, thanks Denise !
Oh by the way go check out her pet portraits they are fantastic !!!
I done this portrait of two one day old maine coon kittens tonight. It took about 3-4 hours to do and it was so much fun. It is oil on canvas 3.5"x7.5" and I really loved the colours and the composition of the picture. These kittens are bred from the same breeder that we got our kitten Honey from, there is a link to her website on the links page to your left if you would like to check out her website, her cats are just fabulous !

This is my latest finished commission.
Oil on Canvas 8"x8"
This is a portrait of Poppy.
She has such bright sparkly eyes and a fantastic coat.
I wanted to use a darker background to bring out the simple neutral colours of her coat.
This is my latest painting of a Ladybug on a pansy stem.
Oil on Board 8"x10".
I really enjoyed painting this and love the vibrant colours, I also took the original picture.
This painting is for a raffle at an art fair that I am taking part of. The fair is on the 26th of March from 10-2pm at Wishaw Acadamy.
It is a painting of a blue tit amongst acer leaves. I really like the composition and colours.
Finally completed the portrait of Kat Von D and her cat Ludwig the Sphynx.
I had alot of fun doing this one and I really liked the way it turned out.
It is an oil painting on canvas 28"x28".
It took a long time to do and I learned quite alot painting it.
